Lerato Molisana was born and bred in the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. She is a B Sc Mathematical Statistics student at the University of the Free State (UFS) who has been active in student media since 2012, when she joined the campus newspaper IRAWA Post as a journalist.
She’s currently a freelance writer for Student Leverage Magazine, an on-line publication run by UFS students. Her appetite for student activism was sparked at the Inaugural National Student Summit held at the University in 2011 when her concept of leadership was redefined. From being a peripheral understanding it became a more personal striving.
Lerato hopes to further her studies in any mathematics related field, creative writing and journalism. She says she will figure out how to merge all these disciplines with time. Honing the art of storytelling is her current obsession. It is a passion that she hopes will help in her quest to document creatively the history of Lesotho and the Free State.
