Valentino Ndaba is a Journalism graduate, a product of the University of the Free State. Born and bred in the slums of Durban, she developed a passion as an avid reader in primary school as an escape mechanism. As the years passed her best friend introduced her to writing through a Writers’ Club in Brookdale Secondary School.
Interests in poetry, Feminism, Africa and politics form the core of her world view. She served as IRAWA Post’s News Editor for the term 2013/2014 and as a writer for Student Leverage Online magazine since its inception in July 2014. The Department of Communication Science selected her as one of its top final year students for 2014.
