Palesa Morei is a third year BA Media and Journalism student at the University of the Free State. She grew up in Phokeng, 14.9km outside Rustenburg, in the North West.
Her recent work is with the UFS campus newspaper IRAWA Post. She started there as a journalist and is currently layout editor. Her association with the project, Activate Leadership, helps her to connect with her community and gain a sense of skill and self-awareness to better her networks and reshape society.
In 2011, Palesa was one of the student journalists at the University to report on the 53rd annual ANC Conference in Mangaung under the guidance of the City Press newspaper. She has since then been a freelance writer with City Press. Her love for communication, the arts and technology can be seen in the work she does. She has aspirations of furthering her studies in Journalism and Communication.
