Melissa Tandiwe Myambo is Research Associate at the Centre for Indian Studies in Africa and an Honorary Research Fellow at Wits City Institute at the University of the Witwatersrand.

She was a 2017 Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study Writing Fellow. In 2016, she was the recipient of a Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Award to conduct research in India where she was affiliated with the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies in Delhi.

She has also been a Visiting Assistant Professor/Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles and a Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Cape Town. She earned her PhD at New York University and links to her other writings can be found on her website.
