Zola Valashiya is an avid debater, writer and a 2015 Mandela-Rhodes Scholar completing his Masters degree in Law at the University of the Free State.
He is a Brightest Young Minds (BYM) alumni; the former South African National Universities Debate Championships (SANUDC) Vice- Chairperson; the former World Universities Debate Championships (WUDC) Secretary-general; the Co-winner of the 2012 Google Zeitgeist Young Minds Award; and Founder-Director of Debate.Afrika – A voluntary association that uses debate as a tool for education and the development of critical thinking skills in disadvantaged schools.
Zola is a sought after keynote speaker and even has his own TEDx video.
